Health Technology Symposium 2012

Digital Health and the Future of Health Care

Register On-Line Now

Digital health is viewed as one of the solutions to delivering health care effectively and efficiently in the future. This full-day event is designed to explore current and future applications of information and communications technology in the field of health care delivery, such as mobile health and electronic health records.

The symposium will introduce delegates to different types of technology and points of view. We will create a dialog around new ideas both within and external to the province on technology outlooks, financial, legal and regulatory aspects, and general market trends. In doing so, we will show that accessible, quality health care can also be cost-effective leading edge health care – but only where a thriving health technology sector contributes to the economy.

Globe & Mail national affairs columnist Jeffrey Simpson, an award-winning author of eight previous books and the recent Chronic Condition: Why Canada’s Health Care System Needs to be Dragged into the 21C, will kick off the Symposium as our keynote speaker. The first 130 full program or exhibitor registrants will receive a complimentary copy of Jeffrey's latest book.
